Miggy's Garlic Explosion- Yea or Nay?

Before writing this review, I just wanna say that I sincerely apologize to the owners for being behind in the Miggy's Garlic Explosion Craze! Hahaha! Oh God.

There's actually a funny back story why things happened the way they did. LOL.

Early this year we all came over to Ate Diane's house for a simple get together with my Vibrant Wellness-5J Family. As you can see, your girl was soooo afraid of dogs, you guys have no idea how immense! As I alighted from the cab, If my memory serves me right, I was actually hearing small barks but shrugged it off thinking it was coming from the next house.

So I went inside the house with Ate Meg.. and girl....

Girl.......

A puppy was running.. No! No! More like SPRINTING WILDLY towards me and my adrenaline rushed immediately, terror crept in to my veins from so much fright and I leapt over to the SOFA. (Oh my gosh that was so embarrassing HAHAHA) But this puppy was really excited to see people and was trying to reach me from the floor which felt like forever! I was so frightened, I was shaking, I was so red and I was sweating! HAHAHA! Before I knew it, I was crying!! HAHAHHAHA!

They had to carry Piper (the name of the Puppy, and I know he is cute but I was just really petrified LOL) all thru out because I was so scared.

There was so much food and MIGGY'S GARLIC EXPLOSION was the Star Condiment of the day and boy, coming from a girl who loves to eat sooo much, I tasted everything but no taste of food registered on my memory that day. Not Miggy's garlic explosion, not the lasagna, not even the sinigang, All I remember was my fear. HAHAHA. And I tasted everything! My mind was elsewhere! LOL

There were about 7 people in the house, that I will be really getting to know for the first time and that happened. I know. It was really funny. HAHAHAHHA!

Anywayyyy... Today is the day that I received 2 bottles of Miggy's Garlic Explosion from Ate Jen and Sir Ninong Jv. I was actually planning to make this review two weeks ago together with a product that a dear friend is also selling but someone forgot to bring the bottles HAHAHA.

So when it came today, I was actually excited. After a few days of being focused at work, I just finished my Check ride this afternoon, finally, I will be able to write again for my blog and this was the signal! Talkin' about a productive afternoon!

So here it goes...

You can never really judge a food from a mere photo, until you are really holding it in your hands, feelin the packaging, opening it, scrutinizing how it looks, sometimes smellin it, (do you do that too? Lol) then finally, dipping a spoon or a fork and shoving it in your mouth.

To be honest, at first I thought this was just a simple fried garlic recipe that anyone can do. Like, you guys can mince garlic, fry it, maybe add in some chilli peppers, use some ordinary oil like I can do that too so why buy? You're getting my point right? I feel like it was just the same with what they use on dumpling stalls, some ordinary, plain, fried garlic.

But everything changed..

When the fire nation attacked. hahahhahah Chos!

But my perception changed, when I really tasted this Bomb of a Garlic Recipe.  :-)

First thing that I noticed is that the packaging was real nice and cool-looking. That sticker of the brand name screams effort, doesn't look cheap at all. Doesn't feel cheap at all. It was sturdy as well, it was sealed as well with a plastic covering too to prevent leakage I guess. It was so neat. I appreciate that. Even came to me in a bubble wrap, now that's really effort and care for the product. :-)

Now lets go over to the actual taste. I really pushed writing it now because I was trying to  reminisce my true feelings earlier (about 5 hours ago) when I was having that experience for me to be able to tell you, genuinely, what I really think about this MIGGY'S GARLIC EXPLOSION.

Most of the time, when I first taste other people's food, It would take me to the process of how they cook it. The food will simply tell you and you will know it, if you also love to cook.

I noticed that the oil was so clear. a very light tone of yellow-brownish but clean looking. Did I mention that they use coconut oil? Go search for it on google and see for yourself the myriad of benefits it carries. (wink) lol. The garlic bits itself was a light almost like a marigold-ish, more of yellow tone than a brown color, the color is hard to explain! hahaha. See the photo for reference. But even the photo can't give it justice lol. It was a combination of those two hues. I was amazed because it was crispy like wow. I mean it was swimming at that coconut oil all this time but managed to maintain its crispiness.

Then I was like, Ahhhhhh. Great effort was done to this product.

You see, it is tricky cooking garlic. You want it done quick? Fire too hot? you toast the garlic, burn it, but then air it out, soft inside but the outside's burnt. OR maybe. Fire is medium, you fry the garlic, toast it, made it crispy enough to your liking, but the taste is slightly burnt. Cooking is Science too. So hence, I conclude, this was carefully cooked in a really low fire for a long period of time with a careful stirring process to maintain the heat hot enough to cook it evenly and slowly. Remember, these are minced garlic. They will cook really fast with a wild fire. I am curious as to the pan they used for this and maybe they used a cooking thermometer to maintain the heat. Every bit of garlic was evenly cooked. God I still have a lot to learn about cooking. Or maybe the garlic is dehydrated first or placed in the freezer so it will take a bit of time to burn it cause it's ice cold inside LOL I have so many theories! Yukihira Soma is that you?? Lol Lol!

The garlic bits were crispy, it tasted how fried garlic were supposed to taste MINUS the burnt taste. There was none. It has this delicate feels, with just the right amount of spiciness from those small bits of chili peppers (which was really subtle) it just dances tamely with the ingredients. It has a mild, sweet flavor which balances out the natural kick from the garlic. I paired it with Spanish Sardines and brown rice earlier and it highlights the flavors from everything! It was delicious!

It was an experience. I felt happy at that moment.

That food moment was beautiful. There I go again praising food as if it were a God haha. But I really appreciate food like this, you will just feel the care and effort those people put in whilst preparing it. It reminds you for a moment that this is one aspect of life which makes it beautiful, you will become instantly happy!

Thank you Ate Jen and Sir Jv Zamora for bringing Miggy's Garlic Explosion to us and making us happy!
